Disable Thumbnail Previews

Okay, this is just a short post based on a question I’ve gotten four times today.
Users complains that it takes to long to open a folder containing pictures, in this case the folder contained a few hundred pictures, so the best way to solve it was to disable thumbnail previews.

Start with opening an explorer and browse to the disk where the pictures are located, for example C:\ or D:\.

Then open “Folder Options”. (Located under “View -> Options” if you are on Windows 8 or higher)

Under “View”, check “Always show icons, never thumbnails”.
