Solve the issue where Windows 8 locks after one minute (Option two)

A few weeks ago I added a post on how to solve an issue where Windows 8 locks after one minute and displays the lockscreen.
Apparetly this didn’t work for everyone, so I decided to show you another thing might cause this to happen.

The problem is that Windows is set to require a password on wakeup.
To change this value, start by opening the “Power Options” in “Control panel”.

From here, chose “Change plan settings” on the active plan.
Power Options

In the new window, click on “Change advanced power settings”

Since this is a setting needs approval from an administrator, click on
“Change settings that are currently unavailable”, and provide the details if prompted.

Now you have the option to remove the password requirement. (Change the value to “No”)
